Some events in the Hautes Alpes in july can bring about traffic disruptions:

Wednesday 23 July : “Tour de France”

- Galibier pass closed from July the 22nd - 12am
- Access closed to the valley of Serre Chevalier from 8.20am to 3pm on 23/07.

Thursday 24 July : “Itinéraires partagés”

- Galibier pass closed to traffic, only for cyclists, from 9am to 12am.

Friday 25 July : “Itinéraires partagés”

- Izoard pass closed to traffic, only for cyclists, from 9am to 12am.
