À 2 100 m d'altitude, le Jardin Alpin du Lautaret propose chaque été une programmation riche mêlant science, botanique et nature. Visites guidées, ateliers scientifiques, observations naturalistes et conférences thématiques sont au programme, pour les curieux de tous âges.
Tout au long de l'été, des conférences abordent des sujets de fond : adaptation des forêts de montagne au changement climatique, plantes et milieux remarquables du Lautaret, liens entre musique et sciences. Le Festival Messiaen s'y invite également, à la croisée de la création artistique et de la réflexion scientifique.
Les visites des coulisses scientifiques permettent d'aller plus loin encore, avec un accès privilégié aux recherches menées sur le site depuis sa création.
